UPDATE: UK isolation period shortened to 10 days for close contacts

The self-isolation period for close contacts of people with confirmed cases of COVID-19 has changed from 14 days to 10 days.


The change takes effect from Monday (for people who are already self-isolating) but from now for any newly notified cases.


We suggest that you use the table below to support your understanding of how the change will affect the dates on which children and staff who are already self-isolating can return to setting/school. 


It would also be a good idea to send this to parents/ carers - so that you can support their understanding too.
