Wolverton regeneration Strategy
On 28th September 2004, the Wolverton Regeneration Strategy went to Cabinet and was adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG), subject to changes agreed by Cabinet. The document has been updated in light of these changes, and the final strategy can be viewed using the links below.
The adoption of the Wolverton Regeneration Strategy followed a six-week consultation period from Wednesday 14 April to Friday 28th May 2004 as part of the Supplementary Planning Guidance statutory process.
Regeneration partners, Milton Keynes Council, South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), English Partnerships and Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council considered the need for changes to the Regeneration Strategy in light of your comments during the consultation.
The aim of the Strategy is to provide guidance for new development in Wolverton, in addition to the guidelines in the Local Plan. Now it has been adopted by Milton Keynes Council as SPG, the Strategy has formal status as a material consideration for planning applications within the project area. It provides clarity on the way in which development should take place and is a useful tool for prospective developers, the community and planning authorities.
The Wolverton Regeneration Strategy sits alongside the Wolverton West End Development Framework, which deals with developments in the West End of Wolverton, Greenleys and Wolverton Mill. Further information on this is also available on this website.
