MK flooding update

Respite Centres at Netherfield Chapel on Broadlands, MK6 4YP, Tinkers Bridge Meeting Place on Marshworth, MK6 3DD and Oldbrook Community Centre on Oldbrook Boulevard (near Cricketers) will be open from 11am - 2pm today.  In response to a drop in demand, the respite centre at Coffee Hall will not be operating today.  Help and support is available to anyone affected, please get in touch with us on 01908 691 691.

Free bulky waste collections of flood damaged items will continue over the weekend, please call 01908 252570 to register a collection. 

Thursday 31 May

Our crews are continuing to clear up local estates after last weekend’s floods.

Our respite centre at The Local Centre on Garraways in Coffee Hall will be open until 2pm today. Help and support is available to those affected, get in touch with us on 01908 691 691.

Wednesday 30 May

Our teams are still out and about helping residents clearing up after last weekend’s floods.

Both respite centres for residents at the Moorlands Family Centre on Dodkin in Beanhill and one at The Local Centre on Garraways in Coffee Hall will be open until 5pm today.

If your home has been affected please call your insurers for further advice. Seek their approval before removing any damaged items and don’t forget to take photographic evidence.

MKC Response team

Following floods in MK at the weekend our teams are out and about clearing up in the areas affected. If you see people wearing these jackets (pictured above) they are here to help and are knocking on every door in affected areas. 

We’ve opened a second respite centre for residents at the Moorlands Family Centre on Dodkin in Beanhill – 01908 679819 in addition to the one at The Local Centre on Garraways in Coffee Hall – 01908 668889. Both centres will be open until 6pm today.

If your property is flood damaged, please call your insurer in the first instance.  Make sure you have their approval before removing any damaged furniture or carpets, and please take photos as evidence.  Our teams will be in Coffee Hall and Beanhill today collecting flood damaged items.
