Milton Keynes Council is once again throwing its support behind this year’s Anti-Bullying Week, which takes place between 12 and 17 November.

Anti-Bullying Week was started by the Anti-Bullying Alliance in the early 2000s as a way of focusing the attention of schools on tackling bullying between children and young people.

The campaign week aims to empower children and young people to make a noise about bullying and to raise awareness of the damaging impact bullying can have on a young person’s life.

The week is also backed by a social media campaign, using the #AntiBullyingWeek tag.  Local representatives and organisations have all helped to raise the profile of the campaign and get people talking too – including Cllr Zoe Nolan, MKC’s lead member for Children and Families, MK Dons, MKFM, the Chief Executive of MK University Hospital, the Mayor and the Chief Executive of MKC.
