Update: British citizens from Wuhan

Friday 7 February 2020

It has been confirmed that Kents Hill Conference Centre in Milton Keynes has been block booked to support the return of around 150 British citizens from Wuhan, China.

As soon as we were told about the booking, which we had no prior knowledge of, we started working with agencies to understand the situation.  We’ve been asked for our help, which we’re giving.

The isolation of these guests is a highly precautionary measure.  Their presence does not present any risk to local people. No one showing symptoms of the ‘novel coronavirus infection’ (2019-nCoV) would be allowed to board a plane. Highly experienced healthcare professionals will be taking the lead on the care of everyone at the site.
