YCAB in lockdown
YCAB members have continued to meet throughout the pandemic online, in order to continue working on campaigns to improve the quality of life for young people in Milton Keynes. Some highlights include an entire virtual residential, a week of workshops focussed on fighting racism, and many bingo nights!
Feeling Safe E-Book
The Feeling Safe in MK Action Group ran a competition open to all, which was judged by senior officials, including the Crime Commissioner. An eBook was created to display some of the amazing entries and the eBook can be viewed online.
British Youth Council ACM 2020
In September 2020, a few YCAB members attended the BYC's Annual Council Meeting. YCAB were able to represent young people in Milton Keynes and add a new policy to the BYC manifesto, "Eliminate racial bias in the curriculum." Additionally, YCAB members made amendments to other policies in order to ensure they were reflective of the issues faced by young people in Milton Keynes. Read the 2020 BYC manifesto here.
