MK Mayor’s Award 2020

The Mayor’s Office and the Youth Participation Team at Milton Keynes Council wanted to highlight the positive work that has been happening in our town over the last year.

We hope that this will bring a bit of positivity and a ray of sunshine, highlighting where young people have made a difference to their communities.  We will be sharing on social media some of the nominated stories.

Watch the video of Cllr Crooks, Mayor of Milton Keynes announcing the Awards.

The Awards were given as follows:

The winner of this year’s secondary school award has been given to Abigail Kos for her local environmental initiatives, and the primary school winner is Alfie for his volunteering work at a local MK community fridge.

This year’s secondary school category was particularly impressive. Mayor Crooks has also presented a highly commended award to volunteers at MK Hearing Impaired Youth, and Arthana Yuvaraj for her fundraising efforts for the Cancer Ward at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
