What if I don’t apply for transport on time for the new academic year?

Your application will still be processed but there is no guarantee of transport for a September start.  It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to make sure their child is transported to school until the application has been processed and a decision has been made.


How long does the application process take?

Your application will usually be processed within 15 working days.  This also applies to the Transport Appeals and Exceptions Application.  However, under exceptional circumstances this timeframe may be extended.


What do I do if I do not meet the criteria or have been declined transport from the online application?

You can complete the Travel Exceptions and Appeals application.  However this does not guarantee you access to school transport.  If your appeal is unsuccessful, to make another appeal for the same child and the same school you must prove your circumstances have changed significantly.  The Panel’s decision is final.


What do I do if I change address and already have transport in place?

Please email in or call advising us of your new address, we will then have to re check eligibility and a new application may have to be made.
