Transport and travel for SEND

Home to School Transport

Parents and carers have a legal duty and a responsibility to ensure that their children attend school regularly and to make any necessary arrangements to ensure that they attend. In certain circumstances the Council has a duty to provide free home to school transport.. Children and young people with EHCPs are not automatically entitled to travel funded by the council. The HTST policy applies equally to all children and young people and can be found on our ‘Home to School Transport’ page, along with details about how to apply.
