Handling complaints during the COVID-19 outbreak

In January 2021 the DfE published updated guidance for schools relating to complaints. There have been no updates to national guidance since that time.

From January 2021, the DfE has acknowledged that the pressures caused by COVID-19 might affect schools’ usual processes and timescales for complaints. However, schools should still consider complaints, particularly those relating to the provision of remote education.

Please make the time to have a look at the full guidance. It’s important to make sure that school policy and practice is aligned to this.
