World Autism Day 2020

Prior to the Covid-19 outbreak MKC and partners wanted to celebrate World Autism Day 2020 on 2nd April to look at how people with autism access Milton Keynes and what it has to offer. The event was to highlight what individuals and services do to make themselves available and how they include people with autism.

The partnership event would have had the theme of ‘reasonable adjustment’ and would have involved different areas of the community.

As it was a first time event, we know we couldn’t include everybody, but we wanted to encourage conversation, and to connect people and support information sharing. The event would have included stalls and workshops from areas such as employment, wellbeing and community.

We talked with our partners and some of them wanted to share what they would have brought on the day, please see the PowerPoints for this information. We have embedded some links into the PowerPoint, if these do not work please copy and paste these into an internet browser.
