Adult Speech and Language Therapy Services (CNWL)

Milton Keynes Adult Speech and Language Therapy Outpatient and Community Services assess and treat people with eating, drinking and swallowing problems and/or communication problems.

  • People who have a problem with understanding, speaking, or stammering can refer themselves by telephone, post or email.
  • People with problems with swallowing, eating or drinking will need to be referred by their GP.
  • The service is only able to treat people with voice problems after they have been seen by one of the hospital’s ear, nose and throat (ENT) team. GPs should refer to the ENT service initially.

Alternatively, patients can speak to their GP or another health professional who will be able to refer them or give advice. If patients are unsure, they can telephone the service who will be able to guide them through the process.
