If you, a relative or friend are over 18 and not able to cook a meal you may want to arrange for prepared meals to be provided.
Milton Keynes Council has a contract with Apetito to provide a Community Hot Meals service which is delivered daily. This can provide a range of meals to meet dietary, medical and / or religious needs, these include: diabetic, gluten-free, halal and kosher meals. The food can also be plated and cut up ready to eat if needed.
Meals can be arranged for short periods or on a more permanent basis, and if booked early enough they can start from the same day you call. The service can be organised by contacting the Access to Adult Health and Social Care team to arrange an assessment to ensure you meet our eligibility criteria. Please note that if you call on behalf of someone else, we will have to speak with the person receiving the meals to gain their consent.
If you do not meet our criteria or prefer to arrange your meals yourself you can buy prepared meals from supermarkets (these can be bought in person or through online shopping) or there are private companies who provide hot meals which are delivered to you. (Please look at other entries in our Adult Social Care Directory).
