- Hilda is Chair of Healthwatch Milton Keynes, coming to this role after 25 years of working with family carers in the Borough.
- She has lived in and around MK for 40 years, one of her children was born in MK Hospital and when her children were small she promoted breastfeeding on the maternity wards, being a National Childbirth Trust trained counsellor.
- She was a founding member of the Centre for Integrated Living, managed Crossroads Care for 18 years and Carers Milton Keynes for 6 years. During her time with Carers Milton Keynes she developed their work with Parent Carers and Young Carers - starting PACA (the Parent and Carers Alliance).
- She was also closely involved with the formation of the Peartree Centre.... and all this began with her being appointed as the first development officer for the Parkinsons' Society way back in 1976!
