Eco Warriors has been designed by the MK Council Recycling Department and is free of charge to all MK Junior schools (YRs 3 to 6). For younger students see Mini Eco Warrior information below.
The activities are suitable when working in classroom bubbles, socially distanced or at home.
The booklets are also suitable for Home Educated students.
How the scheme works
Schools can choose how many pupils they wish to participate in the scheme - it could be the whole school, School Council, Eco Group, a whole year group or just one class. A5 activity booklet are provided for each participating pupil, which include activities on recycling, learning about environmental issues, getting out and about, etc.
The activity booklets
The booklets include 5 eco challenges for each term, with a minimum of 3 for pupils to complete. There are three levels on the scheme:
- ECO WARRIOR CHAMPION (YR3) (PDF, 15.5MB)
- ECO WARRIOR HERO (YR4) (PDF, 15.5MB)
- ECO WARRIOR STAR (YR 5 and 6) (PDF, 15.4MB)
Teachers receive a resource pack including a guidance leaflet (PDF, 7.1MB), reward sticker sheets and classroom posters. There is also an A3 Eco Warrior Pledge poster (PDF, 135KB) to display in school and a digital logo for your website and headed letters to show that you are an active ‘Eco Warrior School’.
How to sign up
Simply complete the on-line form with your order and the booklets and teachers packs will be delivered free of charge in the next 1-2 weeks. Order the number of booklets required, spare copies will be added to your order.
For Home Educated students please complete your home address in the School Address area of the on-line form.
