School trips to the Recycling Factory

Key Stage 2 school trips to the Recycling Factory are hands-on, lively, educational, and free to MK Schools.  Visits include many curriculum links and aim to engage, enthuse and inform students about recycling, the environment and waste issues. Sessions also helps students to understand that their actions make a difference. Unfortunately tours are not available to KS1 children due to the general factory environment, dust levels, barrier heights and the safety equipment that must be worn. School trips are not available to schools outside the borough of Milton Keynes. School trips are now FULLY BOOKED for Summer 2019. Now booking for School Year 2019/20.

Fundraise by recycling

Fundraise by recycling crisp packets

You may have been on TV that crisp packets can now be recycled. This is not done via the MK Council clear recycling sack collection, but instead can be done on-site in school. Sign up as a Private Collector (rather than a Public drop-off site) and raise funds for school. Visit https://www.terracycle.co.uk/en-GB/brigades to find out more.

Alternatively, support MK Charity Recycling by regularly collecting together your school’s crisp packets and drop them off at their various collection points around MK to raise monies for Willen Hospice and MK Cat Rescue. See https://www.facebook.com/recyclemk/ for more details.

Fundraise by collecting old clothes

Bag2school helps schools and groups to fundraise by collecting old clothes and shoes for recycling.
