Corporate Information Management Team - who we are and what we do


The Council's Corporate Information Management Team forms part of the Council's Corporate Core staff and we are currently based within the Council's Saxon Court offices in Central Milton Keynes.  We are a small team who shapes how the Council collects, protects, uses and distributes information. We provide a range of services internally supporting Council Services in managing their information and records, helping to ensure their availability, integrity, quality and security, and to facilitate compliance with information-related legislation.  Primary this compliance relates to Data Protection (DP), Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), Records Management (RM) and the Re-Use of Public Sector Information Regulations (ROPSI).

We also facilitate the Council's responses to requests for information under DP, FOI, EIR and ROPSI.  This means that we receive all requests from customers and then liaise with the relevant departments so that appropriate responses can be sent out.

We also provide training and advice to Council Services regarding the relevant legislation and compliance.
