Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Deal
Milton Keynes has been successful in securing an award of £22.7m, as part of the Government’s Town Fund, to invest in Bletchley and Fenny Stratford.
MK was one of the 101 places eligible to bid for up to £25m. MK Council focused its Town Deal on Bletchley and Fenny Stratford so it can make best use of current and future growth prospects, and the opportunities that will flow from East-West Rail.
The Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Deal Board was established in July 2020 to lead the bid and work with the community to ensure local people are involved in the shaping the future of their area. The Board has also been working to develop a Town Investment Plan.
As of March 2021, an Acceptance Offer and Heads of Terms have been signed and the next steps involve working with Government to develop and submit a Town Deal Summary Document and business case to demonstrate the feasibility, viability and value for money of the projects.
