Housing Statistics

The Council's housing requirement for the monitoring year 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 is 1,767 dwellings. So far, this monitoring year there have been 611 (611 net) completions.

Housing starts and completions in Milton Keynes are monitored quarterly.  The last quarterly housing survey (1 April 2021 to 30 June 2021) was undertaken at the beginning of July 2021.

The results for the year as of 30 June are:

  • 611 completions (611 net following demolitions)
  • 735 starts
  • 2906 under construction
  • Housing stock in the borough = 118,273
  • Housing Stock in MK's urban areas = 100,976
  • Housing Stock in MK's rural areas = 17,297
