The Carbon Offset Fund is now open for applications
The Carbon Offset Fund (COF) provides funding to support projects that deliver long-term carbon emissions reductions within Milton Keynes. The COF can provide funding for up to 50% of eligible project costs, subject to a maximum grant of £30,000 per project. Applicants must provide a minimum 50% match funding contribution.
Eligibility
The COF is open to:
- MK community groups and community organisations
- Public organisations, including schools
- Milton Keynes City Council, parish, town and community councils
- MK charities and not-for-profit organisations
- Bulk domestic schemes active within the city
Eligible projects
Examples of eligible projects include:
- solar PV panels
- low energy lighting
- upgrades to windows and doors
- insulation e.g. roof, cavity and floor
- replacement of gas, oil or LPG heating system with heat pumps
Please note carbon capture or offsetting are not eligible, neither are energy storage projects. Only carbon saving projects will be offered funding.
