The Brooklands Centre's main aim is to provide for the older residents in the area and to help people retain their independence, live in their own homes and remain in the local community.

They help to maintain and improve people’s physical and mental well-being and help combat dementia and social isolation, including:

  • day centre groups
  • special interest groups
  • learning-based activities
  • physical exercise
  • treatments e.g. massage, hearing aid support, physiotherapy (by appointment).

Available services include;

The Brooklands Carers Group providing support to carers of people living with Dementia in a friendly, informal environment which provides access to professional help. The group is held fortnightly on a Friday.

The Memory Club for people living with the early stages of dementia or symptoms of cognitive impairment, offering group activities to build enjoyment and confidence. The group runs on 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
