We were married aboard, is the process the same?

No, if the natural parents of the child(ren) married outside of England or Wales, an LA1 form will need to be completed for each child but the form, and the relevant supporting documentation, will need to be sent to the General Register Office, see the details on the form for information as to where these need to be sent to.

The General Register Office will process the application and will inform you when the authority to re-register has been sent the register office where the child(ren)'s birth(s) were registered.  If this is Milton Keynes, you can book your appointment online or by calling 01908 372101 when you have received this notification.
