Cremation Fees – effective from 20 April 2026

Cremation Fees

The following fees include administration in line with statutory requirements: The Cremation (England & Wales) Regulations 2008; the use of one of our chapels and the sound system; a Chapel Attendant on the day of the service; the unwitnessed scattering of cremation ashes in the Garden of Remembrance or preparation of the cremation ashes for collection, along with a cremation certificate. Alternatively, cremation ashes will be held for one month until final instructions are received. 

 

DIRECT CREMATION SERVICE (Adult) - Unattended - (fee includes Medical Referee charge £34.00 and Environmental Surcharge £124) £375.00
INTIMATE FAREWELL SERVICE (Adult) - Maximum 15 mourners; 20-minute chapel slot; and audio-visual package 1 included (fee     includes Medical Referee charge £34 and Environmental Surcharge £124) £500.00
REDUCED FEE SERVICE (Adult) - 30-minute chapel slot and audio-visual package 2 included (fee includes Medical Referee charge £34.00 and Environmental Surcharge £124.00) £750.00
FULL CREMATION SERVICE (Adult) - 60-minute chapel slot and audio-visual package 3 included (fee includes Medical Referee charge £34.00 and Environmental Surcharge £124.00)  £995.00 
Child Cremation Fee (1 year to 17 years old, (inclusive) – including Medical Referee charge £34.00)  £185.00 
For multiple scatterings of adult cremation ashes, (same location, same date/time), this charge is for each additional set of cremation ashes.  £60.00
Stillborn Baby to 1 Year Old Cremation Fee, including twins (including Medical Referee charge £34.00)  £80.00 
Foetus Cremation Fee (whether individually cremated or as a shared cremation £50.00
Body Parts Cremation Fee (including Medical Referee charge £34.00)  £220.00 

Additional time in the chapel for FULL SERVICES ONLY (60-minute slots, Monday to Friday)  £750.00 
Use of chapel for memorial/burial service only, no cremation (60-minute slots, Monday to Friday). VAT inclusive.  £850.00 
Same day cremation fee (this applies to the 2pm service onwards (Mon-Fri) and for all weekend and bank holiday service times) £250.00 
Shared use of chapel for Adult Cremations (the price for each additional adult coffin that is placed in the chapel and then cremated, including Medical Referee Charge £34.00 and Environmental Surcharge £124.00)  £775.00 
Additional charge for Saturday Adult Cremation (on request) £300.00 
Additional charge for Sunday or Bank Holiday Adult Cremation (on request and dependent on staff availability)  £400.00 
Additional charge for Evening Service (6pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday, on request and dependent on staff availability)  £300.00 
Additional charge for Saturday Child Cremation (1 year to 17 years old, inclusive. On request and dependent on staff availability)  £190.00 
Additional charge for Sunday/Bank Holiday Child Cremation (1 year to 17 years old, inclusive. On request and dependent on staff availability)  £330.00 
Cremation late cancellation fee (if less than 48 hours before the cremation service but due consideration will be given to exceptional circumstances)  £250.00 

 

Audio-Visual Package 1 - Includes entry and exit music; and a single photo on the chapel screens  
Audio-Visual Package 2 - Includes entry, reflection and exit music; a single photo on the chapel screens; and a visual tribute (up to 25 photos) with or without music OR a single family video.  
Audio-Visual Package 3 - Includes entry, reflection and exit music; a single photo on the chapel screens; a visual tribute (up to 25 photos) with or without music OR a single family video; and either a webcast or service recording on a downloadable MP4 file.   
  • Additional audio-visual services may be purchased for audio-visual packages 2 and 3 (prices below) but due consideration must be given to the time available for the chapel service, so as not to overrun.

Witnessed scattering services are booked in as appointments in the Cemeteries Diary because they must be supervised by a member of the Cemetery Management Team. Weekend and Bank Holiday appointments are by request and dependent on staff availability.

Witnessed Scattering of Adult Cremation Ashes Fee - (Monday to Friday)   £150.00 
Witnessed Scattering of Adult Cremation Ashes Fee - (Saturday, Sunday/Bank Holiday) £260.00 
If a request is made for the scattering of cremation ashes from another crematorium, then we charge £195 if the cremation ashes are witnessed scattered or £150.00 if unwitnessed scattered.   
For multiple scatterings of adult cremation ashes, (same location, same date/time), the charge is £60.00 for each additional set of cremation ashes.  £60.00
Witnessed scattering of Child Cremation Ashes Fee - (Monday to Friday) including ashes from another crematorium)  £35.00 
Witnessed scattering of Child Cremation Ashes Fee - (Saturday, Sunday/Bank Holiday,) including ashes from another crematorium)  £45.00
