The fees below include the services and facilities provided by Crownhill Crematorium and Milton Keynes City Council Cemeteries. Full fee schedules are available to download for customers who require detailed information.

Cremation forms

If the cremation is taking place at Crownhill Crematorium, the following, frequently required, forms should be used:

Cremation services

An unattended cremation with no service and no mourners present. This fee includes:

  • Cremation administration
  • Medical Referee fee
  • Environmental surcharge
  • Preparation of cremated remains for collection, or
  • Unwitnessed scattering in the Garden of Remembrance

Not included

  • Chapel service
  • Attendance by mourners
  • Visual tributes
  • Webcasting or recordings

A small attended cremation service for up to 15 mourners.

This fee includes:

  • 20-minute chapel service
  • Audio-visual package
  • Medical Referee fee
  • Environmental surcharge
  • Preparation of cremated remains for collection or scattering

A shorter cremation service with chapel facilities and enhanced audio-visual options.

This fee includes:

  • 30 minute chapel service
  • Audio-visual package
  • Medical Referee fee
  • Environmental surcharge
  • Preparation of cremated remains for collection or scattering

A full length cremation service allowing more time for family and friends to gather and reflect.

This fee includes:

  • 60-minute chapel service
  • Enhanced audio-visual package
  • Service recording or webcast options
  • Medical Referee fee
  • Environmental surcharge
  • Preparation of cremated remains for collection or scattering

Reduced fees apply for children's cremation services. Please contact the Bereavement Services team for advice and support.

Burial services

This fee includes:

  • Preparation of the grave
  • Burial administration
  • Supervision by the Cemetery Management Team
  • Backfilling and making safe the grave following burial

The Exclusive Right of Burial must be purchased separately.

For a further burial in an existing grave.

This fee includes:

  • Reopening the grave
  • Burial administration
  • Cemetery supervision
  • Reinstatement following burial

Available in a grave or designated urn plot.

This fee includes:

  • Preparation of the plot
  • Administration
  • Interment of cremated remains
  • Cemetery supervision

Reduced charges apply for children's burials and the burial of children's cremated remains.

The Exclusive Right of Burial (EROB) gives the holder the legal right to decide who may be buried in a grave or urn plot and allows them to apply for a memorial. The right is granted for a fixed period and does not confer ownership of the land.

  • Adult grave: £1,791
  • Child grave: £114
  • Two-urn plot: £763
  • Four-urn plot: £862

Fees are payable for the right to install memorials within council cemeteries.

  • Headstone or cross: £359
  • Memorial tablet: £180
  • Additional inscription: £124
