The Family Group Conference Service is recruiting

Our well-established Family Group Conference (FGC) Service supports families to make realistic, safe and robust plans for protection of their children so they can continue to care for their children within their own family network.  

We are recruiting Independent FGC Co-ordinators (self-employed) to help us with this work. The Co-ordinators will receive £20.50 per hour plus expenses (including mileage) and will be based from home although some travel is required. Training will be provided.

You will need:

  • The ability to support children and their families by sharing information from agencies that will help them to find their own solutions to difficulties.
  • Extensive skills, knowledge and expertise to engage and work with vulnerable families/children with complex needs at times of crisis.
  • Clear child and empowerment focus, excellent communication, organisational, listening, negotiation, mediation, and conflict management skills. 
  • A diploma (NVQ or BTEC Level 3) or Degree in Social Work, Youth Work, Health, Education, Advocacy, Mediation or related disciplines.
  • This role is only open to applicants who have the right to work in the UK
