The Virtual School work in partnership with schools, social workers, carers, and other professionals to promote high aspirations, improve educational outcomes, monitor progress and attendance, reduce exclusions, and ensure these children and young people receive the support they need to thrive

The Virtual School is here to: 

• Raise attainment for the children and young people that are cared for by Milton Keynes City Council. 
• Advise and guide professionals working with the children we care for, previously looked after children and those children with a social worker. 
• Support schools to develop policies and practices which ensure positive educational experiences. 
• Train professionals working with children that come under the remit of the Virtual School.  
• Champion educational needs with partner agencies who are involved with those children who we care for, previously looked after, in kinship care arrangements or have social care involvement.
