Consultation

Milton Keynes City Council has the duty to consult upon and publish the co-ordinated schemes of admissions for the normal points of entry, namely children starting school for the first time, transferring to junior school or starting secondary school. The schemes set out the timetable and processes used to co-ordinate admissions for Milton Keynes residents.

No significant changes are proposed for the 2028/29 academic year. However, we have provided the following clarification regarding allocations for children with an education, health and care plan (EHCP):

Any allocations for children with an education, health and care plan (EHCP) will count towards the planned admission number (PAN) for September 2028, except where a child is admitted to a specialist base, in which case the admission is in addition to the PAN.

Purpose

These policies outline the co-ordinated schemes of admissions for September 2028.

This consultation seeks views from those directly involved as to whether they are in agreement with the schemes. If you have any comments, please use the online form to respond.
