Consultation

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes proposes to make the following Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(1), 32(1), 35, 35A and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

Milton Keynes City Council (Bilbrook Lane, Furzton) (Residents Permit Parking Area) Order 2023

The general effect of the Order will be to introduce a resident permit parking area for Bilbrook Lane in Furzton.

The permit scheme will only be available to the residents of Bilbrook Lane and their visitors.

Any vehicle parked within a permit parking area without a valid permit will be in contravention on the permit restriction, which may result in the Council issuing a penalty charge notice to that vehicle.

The proposed residents permit parking area comes as a result of the increase in staff from local businesses parking on Bilbrook Lane, causing obstruction which could prevent the free passage for emergency service vehicles.

The proposed changes will ensure equality for all users, encourage modal shift to more sustainable modes of transport and reduce carbon emissions.
