Consultation

The effect of the above proposed Order will be to reduce the speed restriction from national to 40mph along the following length of Watling Street (V4) in Milton Keynes:

· Dansteed Way (H4), Milton Keynes (both sides) From a point 7 metres south-west of its junction with Lodge Roundabout to a point 280 metres south-west of its junction with Grange Farm Roundabout, including the entire circumference of Crownhill Roundabout and Grange Farm Roundabout and (a distance of 2,070 metres).

The proposed 40mph speed restriction comes as a result of concerns relating to speeding on this stretch of the Dansteed Way (H4).

As the Highway Authority for that part of Dansteed Way (H4), Milton Keynes City Council is satisfied that the introduction of the above proposed speed restriction will encourage the convenient and safe movement of vehicular traffic.
