Consultation
Milton Keynes City Council has a statutory duty to produce and maintain a strategy for the management of local flood risk. The strategy sets out our understanding of flood risk, our objectives and how we will monitor and review. The most recent version of the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy was published in 2016. We now need to update it to reflect changes in legislations and policies. At this stage, we would like to gather views and any useful information to help shape the updated strategy. This is an initial step in the programme and is separate from the formal public consultation that will take place, once a draft of the updated strategy has been prepared.
Your views matter
We want our updated strategy to reflect the unique characteristics of Milton Keynes. We want to work closely with communities and partners to build a shared understanding of the challenges faced by local flood risk. By bringing together local knowledge, lived experience, and technical expertise, we can create objectives that are better informed to manage flood risk.
