The first Sunday of May is international Dawn Chorus Day. The perfect time to experience the peak of birdsong during the Spring nesting season. Join us for a guided walk at the park alongside expert Alan Nelson to experience natures great symphony at its very best.

Tour Emberton Country Park with Sam the Park Manager who can explain the history of this historic country park. Telling the story of the former gravel pits, and show you what to look out for when walking at the park.

Entry by foot, bike, and blue badge holders is free. A £5.50 vehicle entrance fee applies if you are travelling by car. 

There is a Redway that runs alongside the park, and the number 21 bus operates in the area - please check Get Around MK for more details

Join the Emberton Country Park Moth Group as we explore the fascinating moth species to be found at the park. The UK is home to many moth species, but sadly, many have been in decline since the 1950's. 

The event offers a great opportunity to get up close and explore the wonderful moths to be found at the park. You will learn about their lifecycles, their importance to nature and people, understand the threats they face, and find out what you can do to help moths where you live.

Meet at Emberton Park Cafe.

Saturday 20 June, 1pm - 10:30pm

Emberton Country Park will be host to the Saint Jonas' Festival, also known as Rasos (Dew Holiday), Joninės, Kupolė, Midsummer Day or Saint John's Day. This is a Lithuanian midsummer folk festival celebrated on or around 24 June all around Lithuania and by the Lithuanian diaspora worldwide. There will be approximately 2,500 people from across the UK Lithuanian diaspora expected for this event in the Rally Fields, featuring musical acts from Lithuania, traditional dress and dancing, Lithuanian food, numerous stalls, and other entertainment for all the family.

Please expect the park to be busier than normal.

This is a family friendly, one day event, based around the River Great Ouse.

Emberton Country Park plays host to the Raft and Duck races as part of Olney Riverfest. The Raft Race is FREE to watch and combines a Duck Race, an amateur Raft Race, plus craft, food and drink stalls plus live bands.

The Duck Race is run by the 1st Olney Scouts group. Tickets can be purchased from their stall on the Market Place on Saturday and Sunday, and from 10:30am near the Weir in Emberton Country Park.

Saturday 25 July, 11am - 1pm

Emberton Country Park is one of the best places in Buckinghamshire to enjoy a dragonfly and damselfly walk. With its peaceful lakes and sheltered ponds, the park offers perfect conditions for spotting these vibrant, fast‑flying insects throughout spring and summer. 

Join us for a relaxed, family‑friendly walk with the Buckinghamshire county recorder and dragonfly expert, where you will learn how to identify the UK’s colourful dragonflies and delicate damselflies as they hunt, perch, and patrol the waterside. With plenty of accessible paths, stunning scenery, and rich wildlife, Emberton Country Park is the ideal spot to slow down, explore, and connect with nature.

The Milton Keynes Cowman Triathlon returns to Emberton Country Park on Sunday 2 August 2026, ready to welcome athletes of all abilities for another unforgettable day of racing.

Take on the epic Cowman (Middle Distance), the testing Calfman (Standard Distance), or the fast-paced Stampede (Sprint Distance), each designed to challenge and inspire in equal measure.
