Covid Bus Service Support Grants
Milton Keynes Council have received Covid Bus Service Support Grants in order to support continuation of services. This enabled additional buses to operate, ensuring social distancing in maintained on routes, particularly carrying school children. Support has been provided to Arriva, Z&S Transport, Red Rose, Redline Buses, Vale Travel and Stagecoach East. MKC continues to work with operators to ensure safe and adequate provision on routes.
Smart Ticketing
Milton Keynes Council was awarded funding via SEMLEP to provide a retail network for the MK Move smart ticketing scheme. The back-office system improvements are now complete. As a result 11 large ticket vending machines and 90 posts have been installed at key interchanges to enable collection of on-line top ups. Notice of Intention to Prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan and Schemes

Milton Keynes Council Passenger Transport is seeking to improve bus services across the Milton Keynes area through partnership working between all interested parties.
In light of the recent Bus Back Better strategy, MKC is to proceed with the development of an Enhanced Partnership. The commencement of this is confirmed through this notice of the intention to prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan and accompanying Enhanced Partnership Schemes as set out in section 138F of the Bus Services Act 2017.
MKC intends to prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan for the full area of Milton Keynes.
