Accessibility Fund

The Accessibility Fund provides £25k each year to make improvements to the public highway. Anyone can apply to the fund and applications will be reviewed and assessed to see if a request is feasible, meets our criteria and will improve accessibility at the specified location.

Requests may be for:

  • Adding dropped kerbs and tactile paving to allow access
  • Removing or adding a handrail
  • Signage or refresh markings
  • Widening access or removing vegetation

Any applications made the previous financial year will be reviewed for selection the following year. Successful applicants to the fund will be notified by letter or email.
