The schemes below have been through the Council’s process to request a 20mph speed limit in an area.

Each scheme was requested by the local community through a petition presented to the Council and assessed by the Traffic and Transport team to see if it was feasible.

These schemes will now be implemented following a change in the road speed limits and will include some additional signing and lining and in some locations, there may need to be additional traffic-calming features such as speed humps.

All works on the highway require a permit. All approved permits are uploaded onto One.Network so you can use this website to check where and when works are taking place. It will also show any diversions and closures.
