How to request a review of your housing decision

Housing register applicants have the right to ask for a review of certain decisions that Milton Keynes City Council has made about their application for housing or an offer of accommodation. This includes a review of:

  • Decisions about refusing an application to join the Housing Register (whether because ineligible or non-qualifying)
  • The banding decision
  • Decisions to remove an application from the Housing Register
  • Offers of housing
  • Decisions as to the facts of an applicant’s case which are likely to be or have been considered in considering whether to allocate accommodation to them.
  • Suitability of Accommodation review

If you would like to ask for a review, you can make a request in writing or by email to the Reviews Team, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3HQ, telephone 01908 253481, stating clearly that the request is a review under Housing Act 1996 (part 6) . Reviews are dealt with by the Reviews Team as they are independent and will not have been involved in the customer’s case. A written response will be provided to you within 56 days.
