Hummingbird Family Centre activity calendar

  • A space to talk. 8.45am - 9.30am. Come along to speak to a member of the team, for guidance, support or a listening ear.
  • Story and Song Time @ Kingston Library - Term time only - Times below.
  • 10.00am - 10.30am. Singing session for non-walking babies.
  • 10.30am - 11.00am. Time for all the families to explore the books. You'll need to be registered with MKCC Libraries to borrow books.
  • 11.00am - 11.30am. Singing, movement and story session for children on the move and younger siblings.
  • Parenting Courses - We will be running different courses throughout the year, for further information and to sign up please talk to the team
  • Co-op Pick up. 3.00pm - 3.20pm. Come in to the centre and see what surplus food we have from the local Co-op.

  • Stay & Play. 10.00am - 11.30am. Fun creative activities for both you and your child.
  • Co-op Pick up. 3.00pm - 3.20pm. Come into the centre and see what surplus food we have from the local Co-op.
  • Community Larder @ The Broughton Pavilion. 4pm - 5.30pm. One of the team will be available at the larder, pop in and see what its all about.

  • Wellness Wednesday. 10.00am - 11.30am. Come to the centre for a hot drink, crafts and colouring.
  • Lunch Club. 11.30am - 12.30am. We will provide a light lunch, you can come to this group with or without your children.
  • Coffee, Chat & Play at St Mary's Wavendon C of E Primary School. 9.00am - 10.15am Term time only. Singing, movement, play and an opportunity to talk.
  • Choose You Clinic. 9.00am - 11.15am. Please Book online @ Choose You
  • Coffee and Catch up. 1.30pm - 3.00pm. Come to the centre for a hot drink, keep warm and chat in the colder months.
  • Foodbank @ Glebe Farm School. 1.30pm - 2.30pm. One of our team will be at the school supporting the Food Bank collection point. Please come see us if you need to talk or need some advice.
  • Co-op Pick up. 3.00pm - 3.20pm. Come into the centre and see what surplus food we have from the local Co-op.
  • 5 on it Basketball Hangout @ Oakgrove School. 5.00pm - 6.30pm. Basketball session for young people ages 11-18 years, bookable session with limited spaces.

  • Baby Group. 10.00am - 11.30am. Join us for a relaxing session for babies (non walkers) and expectant parents.
  • Citizens Advice Milton Keynes. 10.00am - 1.00pm. From 8th January then every 2 weeks, drop in advice session for families in our reach area.
  • Let's Interact and Play. 4 week course that focuses on practising basic strategies, helping children with their speech and communication. speak to the team to book.
  • Get Crafty. 1.30pm - 2.30pm. Perfect session for children to explore their senses while getting a little messy. 18 months and older only.
  • Co-op Pick Up. 3.00pm - 3.20pm. Come into the centre to see what surplus food we have from the local Co-op.
  • UDOIT Dance. 4.30pm - 5.30pm. Street dance class for children aged 8 and above, bookable sessions with limited spaces.

  • Feel Good Friday. 8.45am - 11.00am. Come to the Centre for hot drinks, colouring and crafts with or without your children.
  • Quiet Stay & Play. 1.30pm - 2.30pm. For Families who may find the Stay and Play overwhelming. Such as parent with anxiety, low moods, and children with SEN or in the process of being diagnosed.
