Walk leaders

Volunteers play an essential role in the health walks programme in Milton Keynes. From volunteer walk leaders and assistants to admin and promotion roles, our volunteers do such a fantastic job in supporting and developing the programme.

Community centre management committees

A vast majority of the community centres across Milton Keynes are managed by a group of volunteers who support with day to day running of these facilities. If you are interested in supporting your local facility please contact us directly.

Sports clubs

We have over 250 sports clubs which continually require support from staff and volunteers. If you are interested in a particular sport, please contact Sport MK to find the most local club in a particular sport, or the relevant national governing body. Find out more about Sport MK here.

The Parks Trust

The Parks Trust has over 200 volunteers who play a vital role in helping to keep the parks inviting and safe places to visit and support the delivery of park-based events and activities.  To join the team, contact the Parks Trust directly.

City wide volunteering

CA:MK is the hub for volunteering in Milton Keynes and they match volunteers with hundreds of local volunteering opportunities. From charities to community groups, CA:MK provide information about all aspects of running a voluntary or community group locally. Find out more about CA:MK here.

Coaching courses for volunteer development

Sport MK and Leap provide training and courses locally, such as safeguarding, first aid and coach development opportunities. Sporting bodies (NGB’s) in addition provide national training accessible for all. Find out more about Sport MK here. 

Love Exploring – Trail Creators

MKCC are looking for walkers, hikers and photographers to share their favourite trails in and around Milton Keynes. Using a free App to create and share those trails with all MK residents and visitors.
