Patients with alcohol dependence present to a wide range of health needs, either in crisis with complicated alcohol withdrawal or with drug dependence underlying their other medical condition.

In response to pressures, our helpline and chat room can provide specialist advice, while still following health and safety responses to coronavirus.

In addition, as societal factors such as reduced income, being isolated at home, may result in an increased number and frequency of patients presenting in acute alcohol or drug withdrawal, we can provide help at a time when other services are least able to deal with them.
