Families have started moving into new flats built by Milton Keynes City Council in Conniburrow which include some of the highest quality energy efficiency materials to help keep bills down.
The 18 two-bedroom apartments are spacious and just a short distance away from Central Milton Keynes. The buildings have photovoltaic roofing that generates electricity through solar panels, saving costs for tenants. Residents also have access to a large car park with electric vehicle charging points.
The new homes in Conniburrow are part of the City Council’s biggest and greenest council house building programme in a generation.
Cllr Emily Darlington, Cabinet Member for Adults, Housing and Healthy Community visited Rebecca who recently moved into her new flat to find out how she’s settling in.
