Milton Keynes City Council and Bradwell Parish Council are set to make a major upgrade to the Fiveways play area in Heelands, with £188,000 to be invested for local children and families.
The project will transform the main play area at Fiveways in Heelands Park, creating a modern and accessible space with new play equipment including trampolines and a double zipwire, upgraded surfacing and landscaping, and new benches and picnic tables.
The scheme forms part of the City Council's ongoing commitment to refresh play parks across Milton Keynes, helping a children enjoy outdoor play close to home. It manages almost 400 play areas across the city.
The project has been developed in partnership with Bradwell Parish Council and has secured £100,000 from a national fund (the FCC Community Action Fund) with the remainder being paid for by the Parish Council and the City Council using contributions from housing developers.
