What is Building Control

Milton Keynes Council’s Building Control Department operates as part of the Regulatory Unit within the housing and community division, and is co-ordinated with environmental health, trading standards, planning and engineering.

The main function of Building Control is to ensure that standards of building, within the borough, meet the requirements necessary to protect the health and safety of everyone, whether at home, work or leisure.
