Milton Keynes City Council as a Local Planning Authority is required to ensure it has an up to date assessment of the Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation (GTAA) which includes identification of permanent and transit site accommodation needs.
The Council commissioned in 2021 Open Research Services Ltd to produce a robust assessment of a current and future need for the Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation within the borough of Milton Keynes through to 2040.
The outcomes of the GTAA 2021 assessment supersede the outcomes of GTAA which formed part of the Milton Keynes Strategic Housing Market Assessment 2016-2031 which was produced in 2017 for the purposes of the formulation of the Plan:MK.
