Our key principles in all we do is to remain client focussed, delivering best practice while meeting the needs our local stakeholders.

We work within a unique context in Milton Keynes - a city internationally renowned for its grid-road network alongside its swathes of landscaping, linear parks, redways, estates and innovative housing designs.

Our challenge is to protect and build on this unique identity while accommodating large-scale growth and regeneration. We also work to address sustainable neighbourhood issues associated with the current layout (such as low public transport usage).

Who we work with

The Urban Design team work closely with the Landscape Architecture and Graphic Communication teams on a wide variety of planning and design projects. They assist both public and private clients giving advice on planning applications or designing for new developments.

Services we offer

The Urban Design team provide a range of services for all clients, from urban design and landscape advice to development control to design based policy, master planning and public realm design.

Milton Keynes is a significant growth area which has given the team the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and has given them extensive knowledge of negotiating with and providing design advice to developers. The team also provide an aspect of development control which ensures that the best quality planning applications and outcome in these fields are achieved.

The team have a proven history in responding to local context and community needs to help deliver sustainable development. By improving the quality of place in this way, our work has a positive effect on the social, economic and environmental prosperity of the area.
