Access Amabassadors CIC

Access Amabssadors CIC offers a range of services to deaf and hard of hearing people.

Advice and Information Service
Access Ambassadors provides information and advice on a wide range of issues including benefit applications or benefit appeals. We work in partnership with other local charitable services such as MK Citizens Advice Bureau to ensure deaf and hard of hearing people are able to access services relevant to their needs.

Wellbeing Services
Access Ambassadors supports local deaf and hard of hearing groups to provide activities that improve the physical and/or mental health of deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind people. Activities are open to all.

Access Ambassadors also support individuals with a care plan to find suitable communication support to remain independent.

Employment Services
Access Ambassadors supports individuals to ensure they have equal access in education, employment, and training. We also provide specialist accessible workshops that improve employability skills. Skills include job searching, completing application forms and interview skills. Access Ambassadors also works with a network of employers and partners who are aware of the barriers faced by deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

Training Courses
Access Ambassadors offers a range of accredited British Sign Language courses (Levels 1- 3) and provides bespoke Deaf Awareness courses for employers.

British Sign Language Interpreting Service
Access Ambassadors provides registered communication professionals such as British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters, BSL relay-translators, interpreters for deafblind people, lip-speakers, speech-to-text reporters (STTR), manual and electronic note-takers.
