Following the death of Councillor Shanika Mahendran on 1 July, a valid request for a by-election in New Bradwell Ward has been received.

The by-election will take place on Thursday 24 September. A full timetable is available here.

Registration 

The deadline to register to vote in this election is midnight on Tuesday 8 September. If you have already registered to vote, you will be sent a poll card towards the end of August. If you are unsure if you are registered to vote you can call Milton Keynes City Council on 01908 254706 to check.

Registering to vote is simple and takes less than 5 minutes. You’ll need your National Insurance number.

Proxy Voting Dates

The deadline to apply to appoint a proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 16 September. The person you appoint as a proxy will need to go to your allocated polling station to vote or apply for a postal vote before the postal vote deadline (see above).
