Prepaid Cards (PPC) for direct payments

Receiving your direct payment

Our standard way of paying your direct payment is by using a prepaid card (PPC) account. You should use the PPC account to pay for services that meet the agreed needs and outcomes described in your care and support plan

  • Your direct payment amount(s) will be paid in advance straight into the PPC account on a regular basis
  • If you have been financially assessed as having to contribute towards your care and support, you will receive a monthly invoice to pay this contribution from personal funds.
  • You MUST pay your contribution invoices to continue to receive direct payments.

Setting up your prepaid card account

Once a prepaid card account has been agreed and the necessary paperwork completed, we will arrange for the account to be set up.  You will be sent a welcome pack informing you of your account number and sort code, along with the details of how to access your online and telephone banking account.  Your card will arrive 7 to 12 days later and once activated you can access your account to help you manage the direct payment money.
