COVID-19 support for business

Find out details of support available to businesses including:

  • a Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme
  • deferring VAT and Income Tax payments
  • Self-employment Income Support Scheme
  • statutory sick pay relief package for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • a 12-month business rates holiday for all retail, hospitality, leisure and nursery businesses in England
  • small business grant funding of £10,000 for all business in receipt of small business rate relief or rural rate relief
  • grant funding of £25,000 for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses with property with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000

  • NHS Test and Trace in the workplace - On 26 October the Government updated guidance on NHS Test and Trace for employers, businesses and workers to reflect employers’ legal duties around staff who are self-isolating.  This guidance explains how employers and businesses can support NHS Test and Trace and play their part to slow the spread of the virus and protect the health and care system
