Universal UK Resort, due to open in neighbouring Bedfordshire, represents one of the most significant investment opportunities in the region and creates a major economic opportunity for Milton Keynes.
Located within easy reach of the city, Milton Keynes is uniquely positioned to benefit from this investment due to its close proximity and excellent transport connectivity. As one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, the city is well placed to accommodate increased visitor demand and capture wider economic benefits.
With construction already underway and a planned opening for 2031, Milton Keynes City Council is working with partners across the region to ensure the city is ready to maximise the opportunities arising from increased investment, visitor spending and economic growth.
The resort is expected to welcome around 8.5 million visitors annually on opening, rising to 12.5 million over time, further strengthening the economic potential for Milton Keynes and the wider region.
