Intervention and Inclusion team

Contact:

Working together with children, young people, families and educational settings, enabling children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to enjoy and achieve in their learning whilst developing greater independence.

The team works across Milton Keynes supporting children and young people from 2-19 years old. The team consists of specialist teachers, inclusion and intervention workers.

The virtual school advocates for the children and young people who are looked after by Milton Keynes. We aim to ensure everyone reaches their full potential, with a sense of wellbeing and is equipped with skills for life.

Early education and childcare funding provides up to 15 hours free funded childcare education for all three and four year olds and eligible two year olds.  Eligible families can apply for 30 hours of early education from 9 months to school age (eligibility criteria applies)

In addition to existing entitlements, once fully rolled out eligible families will also be able to access the following funded entitlements: 

Working parents - two year olds to the equivalent of 15 hours a week for 38 weeks (introduced April 2024)

Working parents - 9 month olds to three year olds the equivalent of 15 hours a week for 38 weeks (introduced September 2024)

Working parents -  9-month olds to school age the equivalent of 30 hours a week for 38 weeks (to be introduced September 2025)

The EYPP is additional funding for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds receiving the free Early Education Funding (EEF). It aims to support providers to narrow the gap between the most and least advantaged children. An hourly rate of 68p per hour for each eligible child will be paid to the provider.
