DfE Childminder Mentor Programme

The DfE Experts and Mentors recovery programme which provides free support and guidance to settings has now expanded to include childminders.

From spring 2023, childminders will be able to access support to strengthen their practice to help those children hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic (those meeting DfE criteria).

DfE Setting Experts and Mentors programme

Settings can apply to have free support from an Expert and Mentor through this DfE post pandemic recovery programme.

Experts could support EYFS practice in a number of ways including leadership, curriculum and assessment.

Settings can self-refer themselves

 

Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP)

The EYPDP is focused on supporting practitioners who work with children aged 2-4 in order to improve outcomes in three areas: 

  • Communication and Language
  • Early Mathematics 
  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
